yuletide letter 2017

To whoever may receive my request,

First of all, thank you in advance for writing something for me! I've been doing fanfic for several years, but I'm pretty new to Yuletide and Ao3 in general, so getting to do this is pretty exciting. I hope that you get something nice for your gift, too!

I'm going to list some general things that I like to see in fic, and then some fandom specific things afterwards, but please don't let it restrict you from writing what you like! I have some squicks that I can't handle below, but otherwise feel free to use everything else as simply a guideline and just a general idea of the things I'd like to see. I do have stuff that I favor, but please don't stress over it too much - just have fun!

Things that I would love:

• Shippy things!!!!!
  
• Gen things!!!!!!
  
• Canon compliant AUs/AUs set in the same world
  
• Soulmate AUs
  
• Time travel/time loops/Groundhog Day scenarios
  
• What if/For Want of a Nail scenarios
  
• Body swap

• Dangan Ronpa/murdergame/Battle Royale-esque AUs
  
• Coffee shop AUs and/or Flower shop AUs

Hard no's:

• Any sexual content
  
• Body/eye horror
  
• Incest (including relationships that are non-blood relations)

Also as a note: I've got some more spoiler-y things in the fandoms I'm going to list below, so I'm going to be covering that up with black box text that you can highlight to read.

❈ new dangan ronpa v3

- requesting: Saihara Shuuichi, Akamatsu Kaede

I'm a pretty recent initiate to Dangan Ronpa (if a year is considered recent), but I'm already a pretty huge fan, so I'd be ecstatic if you chose to write a DR fic for me! I ship Kaede and Saihara together really hard, so ideally I'd love to read some shippy fic of them. I also understand that not everyone may be okay with writing that, so writing something romantic isn't required if you really don't want to do that. I'm completely spoiled for this, so feel free to go wild with spoilers! More specific things below (and also black boxed for spoilers where necessary):

Things that I would love:

• Any really cute shippy things with Saihara and Kaede, canon compliant or AU
  
• Solving things together, whether it be investigations/trials or some other kind of puzzle
  
• AU where Kaede survives the first chapter :')
  
• Mastermind!Kaede AU

Please don't do the following:

• Refer to characters in-story by their first names/nicknames/way that the localization does. Additionally, please try to include honorifics (this part is not a requirement but that would be awesome). EXCEPTION: If it's a plot point for somebody to switch from last name to first name, this is perfectly fine! And also encouraged! (also calling them Kaede and/or Shuuichi outside of the story is fine, so don't worry about that :'D)
  
• Focus on Kaede's death in chapter 1 too much (unless you've got some kind of deus ex machina thing bringing her back from the dead) or have the fic be something post-death. Sad stuff is okay but I'd rather not have a story based on this in particular, thank you. :')

❈ psychonauts

- requesting: Razputin Aquato, Lili Zanotto

I've been a fan of Psychonauts for fifteen years, it's probably my favorite game ever (aside from the game I'm going to request beneath it), and it's pretty much the catalyst for why I'm even here typing this letter right now since it's why I'm in fanfic, SO... Getting something for Psychonauts would, needless to say, make me pretty darn happy. I owe a lot to this game, and it holds a very special place in my heart.

I'm super excited about the VR game that's out (which I just recently watched an LP of) and also about Psychonauts 2 which will hopefully hit our game consoles in the nearer future, so having something compliant with that would be real awesome! I'm also a really hard shipper of Lili and Raz, so having shippy things is definitely encouraged on my part, but romance doesn't actually need to be the focus of the story in this case. Feel free to have it at the forefront, or just kinda rolling in the background - whatever floats your boat~ I'll list a couple of things below, though, along with things I'm gonna ask that you not do.

Things that I would love:

• Missing scene/in between stuff that could happen during the first game, especially cute stuff
  
• Same as above but during Rhombus of Ruin
  
• Raz and Lili trying to make a long distance relationship work (there can be angst with this - some angst and/or frustration would be great actually - but only as long as the ending is happy)
  
• The two of them Kicking Bad Guy Butt
  
• Role reversal kind of deal where Lili's gotta protag for a bit and save Raz, either post-canon or canon compliant AU
  
• Exploring Lili's mindscape for whatever reason
  
• More Raz reading her mind pls, accidentally or on purpose

Please don't do the following:

• Aging them up too far, if it's a future!fic. I know people like to do that, but please don't have them any older than thirteen.

❈ final fantasy tactics

- requesting: Ramza Beoulve, Ovelia Atkascha

If Psychonauts isn't my favorite game, then Final Fantasy Tactics definitely is. I have yet to find a game with a story and gameplay system that are both so satisfying, and all of this time later it continues to be one of my very favorites. What I'm asking for with this is pretty rare, so I'd understand if no one wanted to do it... But if you did, it would mean a lot to me!

Ramza x Ovelia is something of a rarepair I've found, but I ended up falling pretty hard for it. Please save me. If writing it in a romantic nature is really unbearable for you I will totally understand, but it would mean the world to me if you did that rather than gen! ♥

i don't know if I need to black box text for a twenty year old game but we're doin' this anyway

Things that I would love:

• AU where where Ovelia is a permanent part of the party
  
• AU where she doesn't die at the end of the game and somehow ends up with Ramza because haHA-
  
• If not writing them in a romantic sense, maybe a really strong friendship talk-thing??? Talking about other pairings is cool too, so if you're going with this one feel free to ship Ramza and Ovelia with other people and have them talk about that! (I'm requesting Ramza x Ovelia because that's what I really really want, but there's nothing in FFT that I don't ship so don't worry about that part)
  
• Arranged marriage AU, somehow???

Please don't do the following:

• Have them talking like they do in the PSP reboot. Just. If you can, please have them talk like they do in the original rather than whatever old English feel the localization was going for.
  
• Have Ovelia die. Or at least, not during the course of the story itself or have it be implied. Already been there and done that in canon. :')
  
• Not as much of a hard no with this one, but if possible please avoid writing Ovelia cheating on Delita. If it's after the point that he stabs her then yeah, obviously it's okay to have her move on to Ramza after a period of time. But please don't demonize Delita in the process, or her for that matter.
