it's that time of the year <3
the white day meme
you guys know what time it is... it's White Day, the day that you give back for the chocolate you received last month on Valentine's Day! (traditionally it's guys giving back to girls, but we don't worry about that sort of thing here c:) get all your best cookies, cakes, marshmallows and - if you're feeling traditional - white-colored accessories ready to go!
this is a free-for-all honestly, I was gonna make prompts and blanked out, so go wild instead! don't forget to list your prefs if you have any, tag your nsfw, be excellent to each other, etc. for extra funsies and/or if you need some inspiration, you can have ~Magic Chocolates~ from a really old White Day meme on bakerstreet:
1. Coconut: will cause you to do anything for attention from the first person you talk to.
2. Vanilla: initiates a traditional "I'm suddenly in love with you" scenario.
3. Truffle: causes physical attraction only. Feelings of lust.
4. Maple Nut: makes you want to stalk someone.
5. Raspberry: has you crushin' hard on a person, but you keep it a secret as much as you can!
6. Caramel: has you decide to ask someone out on a casual date. No immense feelings.
7. Mint: causes you to decide a person is your BEST FRIEND EVER. To what degree is up to you.
8. Lemon: causes HATEFUL feelings.
9. Chocolate Creme: inspires you to kiss the first person you see.
10. Too much of a good thing: you end up eating two chocolates. Roll twice to determine which two you eat. If you get #10 again, add a third chocolate, a fourth, etc. Two of the same chocolate doubles the intensity.

I rolled a d10 and it gave me raspberry
Granted... Not many people had the same resources he has at his fingertips, but what use was there for a secretive network of ninja if he had no intention to utilize them when needed? Quiet as the summer breeze, Ayato sidles up beside Lumine, back ramrod straight even as he leans a hip up against one of the posts that fence in the gardens of Komore Teahouse.]
Chocolate pairs rather nicely with an afternoon of respite. Would you care for a taste? [He’s got an open box in his left hand, one he holds out for her to take a chocolate out of should she accept the offer.] Thoma made them himself, and I find myself ever fonder of the flavor the more I allow myself the chance to indulge.
rolls in here like a criminal
That's a nice surprise, Commissioner, seeing you have a break from work for once.
[She pushes back from the railing... and tilts her head. Is something about his bearing a little different than usual? Lumine can't quite put her finger on it.]
I'd love to, though. Thoma really is such a good cook... What kind of chocolate did he make?
CATCHES U IN MY ARMS
[He gives a soft little hum, tilting his head to watch a sakura petal as it drifts past on the breeze. He finds himself idly musing that the pale pink would strike a nice contrast to the whites and blues of the accessories already adorning her golden locks, though that is a thought he soon thereafter pushes down and files away somewhere near the back of his mind.
Ah yes. The chocolates.]
I’m not entirely certain of the specifics, though I believe he followed a recipe imported from Fontaine. Most of them are filled with different flavors of fruit and creams, all of which pair nicely with the richness of the chocolate itself. [He’s reaching down with his free hand, plucking one up from the box at random and holding it up with the obvious intent to feed it to her directly.]
roll your own fate... good luck
[ Words that pour lightly from his lips, from behind a friendly smile. However, to rewind a little...
There are few things Vincent hates more than being outside in the sun, having to suffer its heat and the blinding reflection off every surface in sight. And yet this morning, because there was something he couldn't avoid, he's already been in the plaza for over two hours. Forced to walk around until that empty-headed nuisance of a woman he supposedly went on a "date" with had her fill of ridiculous nonsense like feeding the birds or admiring the flowers and was satisfied enough to go home. If only he didn't need to sweet-talk some information out of her, he'd never have spared her so much as a glance.
He'd been leaning against the wall nearby, in what slight bit of shade he was able to find, until a pair of footsteps heading up the stairs beside it drew him out; doubly so when it was a familiar figure. Thus, necessitating his current facade -- although, maybe from climbing at such a quick pace... ]
...You look rather winded. Here, why not have these? I did buy them for myself, but... It's that kind of holiday, and I was intending to gift you something to begin with.
[ One lie after another, but for Vincent it's two birds with one stone. It'll distract the Traveler from whatever glimpse of him she might have caught or any questions she might have, and... in the first place, the item he waves once through the air with a casual hand is something he was planning to dispose of as soon as possible. Saves him the trouble of finding somewhere to throw it away.
It's a box of chocolates, wrapped in exquisite paper and tied with an elegant bow, which he's just received from the noble's daughter earlier. As if he'd ever eat something a sow like that gave him. ]
not roll your own fate HELP
[Lumine's tone isn't unfriendly, but there's a sharpness, alertness in her eyes. They search him, yet find nothing.
Whenever it seems she might get a little bit closer to figuring out what he's up to, he always seems to slip through her fingers these days. It's as intriguing as it is frustrating.
She may have forgiven somewhat, but she hasn't forgotten what happened with Childe because she was too trusting. Lumine doesn't want to make that mistake again.]
...This isn't too much for me, but I appreciate the concern. But still, if you're going to offer so kindly...
[She hums, thoughtful. The smart thing to do would probably be to politely refuse, make some kind of plausible excuse. And yet...]
I'll take you up on it. Food is always better shared, but Paimon is resting now, so... Would you like to have some with me?
[A "gift", but one she would feel indebted for when she's spent a good deal of time suspecting Vincent of things he may or may not have done. It only seems fair.]
well? roll it, what curse are they getting
But one can never be too careful, and so he's been trying to keep an eye on her since, under the guise of being thankful for her timely aid. Besides, as much of a bother as this all is, she might have useful information from within the Knights. ]
...
[ But this is... after the morning he's just had... frankly, just thinking about doing more makes Vincent wish that a flaming meteor or some other equivalent disaster could descend right this instant and bring about the end of the world already. It's long overdue for this city, anyway.
He could just tell her he doesn't like chocolates all that much and be done with it. In all fairness, that wouldn't be very far from the truth. He's never been able to figure out why women seem to get so excited over sweet treats so much -- to him, they all end up tasting rather bland, like a whole load of nothing. There's nothing special about some stupid mixture of milk and cocoa and whatever else might be in them. But then a moment passes, and as soon as he can will himself to move and swallow the bubbling disgust in the pit of his stomach, he simply offers her the box with a delicate hand. ]
...Then, if you don't mind me taking up even more of your time. Where would you like to go?
[ If she takes him back into the sun after he was about to escape it just now, he swears he'll kill her. ]
i forgot but now i wish i'd kept forgetting bc i rolled 3 i can't stop laughing
[Oddly enough, she realizes as she says it, it's true. He's too interesting for her to be bothered.
For better or worse, Lumine is unaware of Vincent's longing for meteors.
Her smile is slight as she accepts the box, mind already churning as she tries to think of a location. Lumine knows she wants somewhere private, and that's for two reasons. The first is the more "important", of course, and that's that the fewer prying eyes are around, the more likely it is she might be able to get some information... Although she sincerely doubts that he'll let anything slip if he hasn't thus far.
And the second is... Lumine is a private person, and she knows how this looks. The fewer prying eyes the better.]
There's a quiet corner on the second floor of Angel's Share. I know the owner won't mind since he's a friend... The day's been a little hectic for me, so somewhere less busy would be nice.
the way ur telling me they're about to make out on diluc's balcony
How fortunate we're of like mind on that. I rather happen to like their drinks, myself.
[ As if. He's never cared less about the flavor of foods and beverages, as already established with the chocolates, and Diluc Ragnvindr is... not exactly his favorite person to be around. Always a sharp and scrutinizing eye on that one, and from an entirely different direction than the Knights thanks to his animosity for them, which makes it troublesome. But... for a visit this short and harmless, it should be fine. And most importantly, he ponders as he begins the trek down the stairs as close beside the wall as he can, at least one of his wishes was granted. He's being spared from the sun. ]
But if I'm keeping you from a job for too long, do be sure to tell me, yes? If the night we met was anything to go by, I'm certain you've got enough on your plate.
HELPPPPP the way Diluc's never going to let either of them inside ever again
I think you probably have a lot more freedom to choose your drinks than I do.
[At least in public, that is. Several of her companions know she's of age to drink, but Diluc still doesn't let her have alcohol at Angel's Share. Life is hard.]
You've caught me at a good time, though. Any earlier in the day and I would've had several errands or requests, but at this time I can usually do as I please. [With some exceptions, of course.] We've never gotten to sit down to eat a meal or even something less like we are now, though. It's important to value moments like that.
[And to finally speak with the man she has the most questions about not just in Mondstat, but perhaps all of Teyvat? There's no way, Lumine thinks as they turn the corner, that she could ever pass up an opportunity like this.
She's exactly where she wants to be right now.]
