the white day meme
you guys know what time it is... it's White Day, the day that you give back for the chocolate you received last month on Valentine's Day! (traditionally it's guys giving back to girls, but we don't worry about that sort of thing here c:) get all your best cookies, cakes, marshmallows and - if you're feeling traditional - white-colored accessories ready to go!
this is a free-for-all honestly, I was gonna make prompts and blanked out, so go wild instead! don't forget to list your prefs if you have any, tag your nsfw, be excellent to each other, etc. for extra funsies and/or if you need some inspiration, you can have ~Magic Chocolates~ from a really old White Day meme on bakerstreet:
1. Coconut: will cause you to do anything for attention from the first person you talk to.
2. Vanilla: initiates a traditional "I'm suddenly in love with you" scenario.
3. Truffle: causes physical attraction only. Feelings of lust.
4. Maple Nut: makes you want to stalk someone.
5. Raspberry: has you crushin' hard on a person, but you keep it a secret as much as you can!
6. Caramel: has you decide to ask someone out on a casual date. No immense feelings.
7. Mint: causes you to decide a person is your BEST FRIEND EVER. To what degree is up to you.
8. Lemon: causes HATEFUL feelings.
9. Chocolate Creme: inspires you to kiss the first person you see.
10. Too much of a good thing: you end up eating two chocolates. Roll twice to determine which two you eat. If you get #10 again, add a third chocolate, a fourth, etc. Two of the same chocolate doubles the intensity.

[Summoning a Servant and being introduced to this whole Master shtick was something that really threw Ichiban for a loop. Technically, it was all an accident as he wasn't supposed to be a Master in the first place. The heir of the Arakawa Family was supposed to be fighting in their place and he was just a mere grunt. But sometimes, you showed up at the right place at the wrong time and he turned out to be the one who was bearing the Master symbol on his right hand.
This was a lot of responsibility that he was bearing on his shoulders, but he was determined to make everyone proud! Though he had to admit that the Servant he summoned... Well, she turned out to be a beautiful maiden that he'd usually see whenever he played JRPG video games. Honestly, Ichiban was expecting to summon a tougher looking figure... But just because her looks were demure didn't meant that he undervalued her abilities. Though he wasn't used to talking or dealing with ladies like her. If he was the Hero of this journey, then was she the Mage to help guide him along? It was far easier to see things through his RPG lens and it made things much more exciting!
Today, he was looking for her as there was something important that he had to do. The Arakawa Family had made a makeshift garden for her where she'd be able to relax and plant whatever she liked. Ichiban definitely did his best as he had a bit of a green thumb, but he was no gardening expert. He steps into the garden where Merlin was relaxing as usual.]
Hey, Merls? Sorry to interrupt... But ya got a minute here?
[He's holding something behind his back as he's awkwardly rubbing the back of his head. It was the first time that a woman had ever given him a gift for Valentine's Day, so he wanted to return the favor on White Day. Ichiban was a man who always did his best to repay his debts, no matter how small they were.]

of course, that had naturally extended to a gift on Valentine's Day. it was tradition, it was cute to see his reaction, and she had been inspired enough, soaking up all the energy and ideas and happiness of the day. ah, love is such a nice thing to witness...truly, she was spoiled with the time period she got summoned into! while the family sorts itself out and they wait for the rest of the Masters to manifest, she can simply relax and prepare and find new things to learn about in the meantime.
when Ichiban comes in, she's as content as can be, lounging in a hammock among the blooms. spring is her mood today, so the sweetly scented flourishing of different types isn't too overpowering. but at his voice, Merlin perks up, sitting up and at attention with a smile.]
Always for you! Not like I'm doing anything important today anyway. What's up?

He was starting to have second thoughts about all of this... What if she wouldn't like the chocolates? What if she got a stomachache and got mad at him? What if? What if? He was starting to feel himself getting sweaty palms as he holds the box behind him. And on a scale of one to ten for the redness of his face... He was hitting a hard 100 right now.]
W-well... It's an important day today, ya know? Remember whenever you gave me chocolates for Valentine's Day? I... uh... I've never gotten a present from a girl before, so I wanted to pay it forward for today! It's White Day, so this is where it's the guy's job to give somethin' to a girl.
[It was also the first time that he's actually went out of his way to try and make chocolates himself. He could've easily bought her a box and called it a day, but no... Ichiban wanted to try and make this more special. Of course he was often made fun of for being a dullard who was only good at being strong, but he wanted prove some jerks wrong today! He actually watched videos and read books on for proper chocolate recipes. Realizing that he was mumbling for a little too long, Ichiban holds out the chocolate box to Merlin and does a very formal bow in front of her.]
So here you go! I made these for ya! It was my first time tryin', so I hope you like 'em!!

Aww, Ichiban, your enthusiasm is better than any chocolate - but it'd be a waste to subsist on that alone! Why don't we share it together, and you can appreciate the fruits of your labor as well?
[truthfully, it would let her soak in the emotion more, the true nutrition for a creature like her, flavoring the sugar with something that no one could intentionally put in the mix. it worked out for her, but at the same time, it would give him a better story to tell later, should someone inquire. for all the others might make fun of him, she's been nothing but favorable to her Master - even downright dismissive to the mage who was supposed to command her. fae whim is an interesting thing. when you're favored, the spotlight shines warmly, and when you're not, you're left in the winter's chill.]
Tell me which one to eat first, and I'll pick one for you, okay?

[Ichiban couldn't help and look up to grin from ear-to-ear. It's a very cheesy smile, but it was the strongest smile. He was told to only smile whenever he had the advantage in a dire situation, but Ichiban was a very emotional and empathic man by nature. It was hard to hold back the feels sometimes! He's just glad that hear honest praise from his Servant. This just told him that he was on the right track to being a good Master for her. He still thought that the mage who was supposed to summon her was more than qualified, but Ichiban wasn't going to undermine the faith that he felt from Merlin.
It might've been no wonder why Ichiban was the one who was the one who was meant to summon her instead. Masato Arakawa was a cold man who could be hard to read... Still, Ichiban expressed his honest loyalty to him. They were tight as family, so he felt that it was natural. He couldn't help and puff his chest out with some pride as he explains a little more about the chocolates he made. They weren't masterly shaped, but there was a lot of effort and feelings put into them. After all, he made sure that they looked like flowers.]
I made sure to mix in some special flavors for some of these to give 'em an extra kick. Some of these are regular chocolates, but then ya might get a raspberry one! Orrrr you might get a caramel one! The surprise just adds onto the fun!
[Reaching out to grab a random chocolate piece from the box between his fingers, he'll be holding it up to Merlin. Regular, raspberry or caramel... Ichiban liked to play games, so he couldn't help and get excited in anticipation for Merlin's reaction.]
How 'bout you try this one? Dunno if this is gonna have any flavor, though.

it is one of the caramel ones, and Merlin hums in appreciation, nodding happily. it's delightful! however there's something a touch different about it. maybe the magic from their bond, or something else that got in the kitchen...but none of it is bad. might as well ride it out and speak the thoughts that are forming in her head.]

[There's a pause as he strokes his chin in deep thought. It was a rather sudden question. Since he was a grunt, Ichiban had more freedom than the higher up mages. He could've practiced his magic through training. Through his specialty was only basic Strengthening for right now. Time would only tell if Ichiban would awaken more of his potential like the heroes do in RPG games. Even if he didn't, he was still going to do his damnest in the upcoming battles.]
Come to think of it... I never really gotten a chance to show you around town. I know the guys wanna keep a leash on you, but I don't think it's fair to tuck you in here like an animal.
[Ichiban saw Merlin as her own person. An equal. She was his Servant and he was her Master, but he didn't want their relationship to feel like something where one had more power over the other. He wanted a relationship something of equals. She's definitely him like a person than a disposable number.]
Since it's getting dark... Did you wanna hit up the streets? There's some bars, a theater that shows some unique ass movies and tons of other places for entertainment. There's never a dull evening here in Ijincho.
