[ooc: maybe an alternate turn somewhere between week 2 and week 3? btw, pardon the length; don't feel you have to match it.]
[Sound, or rather, the lack of sound.
The familia cacophony of the Shibuya crossing doesn't spill into her ears as her eyes slip open. All she hears is silence.
...How does one hear silence?
Rough cement bites into the soft flesh of her palms as she pushes herself up. Shiki surveys the area with a careful eye, and she is able to put things together. She passed out - yes, that was obvious - and awoke surrounded by the lonely walls of Shibuya's sewers.
Her heart clambers in her throat as she lowers her gaze, rose strands of hair brush her cheeks-
Wait. That's not her hair-]
Eri...? [the name tumbles from her lips, hands flying to her head, fingers brushing the fabric of her- no... Eri's hat.
Reality crashes into her like freezing waves, and she drops her hands back to the ground. Because this shouldn't be happening - she won, she should be free.
She's still in the game. She didn't win.]
No worries! o7 also sorry if I'm a little rough with him, testing the waters here
That's the thought that runs through his head as he watches, carefully, from a distance. The question is why, though. Neku should have been there in her place, so how on earth did Shiki Misaki get here?
If this is someone's idea of a joke, Joshua grimaces. Then it is very far from being funny.
He makes sure a casual smirk is in place as he saunters over. If someone is involved with this, Joshua will Deal with them when the time comes. But for now, the show must go on.]
Looks like you're having a bit of trouble, there.
[Joshua giggles, brushes a strand of hair to the side. She'll never know anything is amiss with him, and that's exactly how it should be.]
You're a Player, aren't you? Need a hand?
[that's okay, I'm rusty with Shiki, so we can voicetest together]
[She starts at the voice, head whipping in its direction. Shiki doesn't recognize him, but something's a little off But he must be a Player, just like her, and he may be looking to form a contract. With no one else around, she didn't have much of an option.]
Yeah, I... I guess I am. Are you one too?
[Everything's still here: her phone and Mr. Mew, and tucked in her pocket is the Groove Pawn. At the moment, Mr. Mew remains lifeless, and Shiki wonders if her stuffed animal could sleep.
And now she's straying from the problem at hand. Facing Joshua, she asks,]
[Accompanied by an airy chuckle, because he's feeling some pretty genuine humor.
Joshua never said that he was a legal Player, after all.]
But it would be my pleasure, Shiki.
[But if she's going to react to Joshua knowing her first name, there won't be enough time - there's that telltale flash of light - and then the pact is formed.]
